Being More Visible

We live in a such a visual world. For work and life we put our lives out on the internet. Or go out and interact with people. Which can be good and bad. Us introverts can feel like its another thing that everyone is screaming about. But there are times we need to be out there. For work, wanting to build and business or brand, or just awareness for a cause. But there are small things we can do to make this less of a choir and maybe enjoy some of it.

Arrive early to be seen sooner

I’ve said this about weddings as well. There are less people there so you can get comfortable sooner. Plus you can be of help and people will more likely remember you.

Have a Partner in Crime

Its always nice to have someone around, to help you shine for who you are. But remember that you can’t just let them do all the talking or work. This is about you and you need to put in the effort.

This can also work online. Have someone that will share your posts or be one of the first to comment. You can do this for each other. Giving the algorithm boost, but also the boost of confidence.

Take Little Steps

It sounds nice to make such big changes and see how to world open up for you, but that rarely happens. And those changes hardly ever stick. Little steps to see if they are the right ones for you and to make adjustments when needed.

Lead with strengths not just to fill a need

Sometimes in our eagerness to do right and just help, we volunteer for things we’re not really good at. I’m a great support for events. I keep my head on and can take care of multiple things at once. A lot of my friends and colleagues love when I help, but I also know when to let someone else do somethings. Like if someone needs help entertaining kids, not my forte. And no one will enjoy that endeavor.
