Introvert Travel Tips Part 4

There have been so much change in the last few years. (And I’m so tired of saying that too.) So there needs to be a small update for when it comes to travel. With things starting to get figured out around the world we are able to travel more and farther. Of course, we all know the different things to stay safe and these tips work whether you are going alone or in a group.

Introvert Travel Tips 4

Be Loose About Plans

Even if you still have to schedule specific time off you will have to be open to changes in plans. The first being that where you want to go may not be an option. Whether it does not open up or restrictions change in between when you booked and when you leave.

One way some people have gotten around still having a vacation is stack bookings. Now, this may only be available to those that can afford it because you still have to buy the plane tickets ahead of time. But many other things can wait until closer to leaving or just have a reservation. But you pretty much book two different vacations over the same time. Since a lot of places have waived cancellation fees. So you just cancel the second choice if things go to plan or the original one if it’s not available.

On the point, you will also be patient with the time you will have to change things and wait. So many places still have smaller occupation limits as well needing reservations. SO you may not be able to go at the time that works best for you.

Get Insurance and Know All Requirements

This is a given to know what requirements you will need to go anywhere. A lot of countries always had some vaccine requirements, like malaria for Africa. But now you will need to know how they want you to have the information. A lot of Asian countries have apps and QR codes that have all your information. How soon you need to take any tests, which may be different from what the airline wants.

Travel Insurance will be a must too. Many countries require it. Before, most people didn’t really see a need for it. You will get money back if anything goes wrong. But the most important part is that if you get Covid it will pay for any medical bills, quarantine hotel, and transportation. Most countries want it because they do not want to be stuck with the bill once you leave the country.

Be More Vigilant

With fewer people traveling you will be more of a target. There is less of a pool for people to choose from for anything from pickpockets to scammers. On top of that, there are more scams out there from places having fake tests or masks for sale. People are all trying to get money, some by any means. So be careful what you bring with you and try to look less like a tourist.

These are just a few pointers to take for your travels. I hope we all get to travel more now.
