How Introverts Can Enjoy Festivals

Many of us are music lovers. And going to a full day or several day festival is a great way to immerse yourself in the music you love. Which can seem like not a place an introvert would want to be. But there are ways we can have fun and enjoy the music we love with a lot of people.

Stay Near The Event

These event almost always give you the option to come and go throughout the day. Having a place to go that is walkable is much more comfortable. Especially if you won’t be there all day. You can sleep in some because you save time in the commute. You can go back easily if you forget something.

Know Where Everything Is

There will always be a map. Know where all the exits are, the best food, restrooms, and best routes to the stages you want. But also what around in the area. Places to get supplies and food before you get the event. Entertainment if you didn’t want to go in yet.

Plan Your Time

Know the time and places for the acts you want to see. Most festivals are standing room. So you will have to get there at least a set before if you want to get close to the stage (sometimes several sets before). Plan time to stand in lines for food, drinks, and merch. That may be a reason you get there hours before the first act you want to see.

Save Your Ears

get some concert earplugs. They are cheap and reusable. I still hear the music great but have no hearing loss or ringing in my ears at the end of the day. For these day long events make sure you walk away from all the noise. There will always be music playing somewhere so go somewhere else for a bit to sit and eat. Get something cold to drink and get in the shade.
