Using The 5 Love Languages for Self Care

I am a huge fan of The Five Love Languages and how it helps your romantic relationships, well any relationship. But you can also use this for the relationship with yourself. By using all the different languages to take care of yourself. Because we can use all of them for the different needs we have.

Using Love Language for self-care

Here are some great examples of the different love languages and how you can use them for self-care:

Words of Affirmation

Quality Time

  • sleep / naps

  • exercise

  • meditation

  • work on your schedule

Acts of Service

  • expand learning

  • small gifts

Touch

  • stretch

  • massages

  • take care of your skin

We should try to incorporate at least one from each category to really make sure we are well-rounded in our care. And be sure to try the ones that are what you actually need, not what is easier or what you “usually” do.
